02-16 Monday

Mornings come early.  Breakfast is shared with the host families and then the bus gathers the team up from the various home locations and brings us all up to the clinic on the mountain.  We begin the morning with devotions and follow with medical and dental care for the patients that have come for the day.

This day was filled with learning the flow and flavor of the care provided in the clinic.  Our team came along side the existing staff and together we served the patients both young and old. Normally this clinic functions  with only one doctor and dentist, so our team addition more than doubled the care provided.  A good learning day for all of us.

Dr. Jeff and Dorothy set up shop in the dental room.  Dorothy stated that she was glad to have the training she did in her early years as a dental technician as it came in very handy.  Many of the supplies and equipment are antiquated or simply not available.  Even so, with adaptation and ingenuity there usually is a way to get the necessary work done.
